More than 3 users? Ask for a licence here.

Limn is free for individuals, and for organisations where no more than 3 people use it. More users than that need a licence. Send a message and we will sort one out. Questions and bug reports are welcome here too.

Illuminated initial H from a choirbook

Using it on your own, or no more than 3 people in your organisation use it? You need none of this — run npx limn-review and it works today.

Used to reply to you, and for nothing else. It is not added to a list.

How many repositories, and which review bots you run, is the useful part — it is usually what the reply turns on.

Your message goes to one person, not a ticketing queue. What the form collects and how long it is kept is in the privacy policy.

What happens next

  • It reaches one person, who replies — usually the same day, and always within two working days.
  • If you asked about a licence, the reply says what it covers and what it costs for the size of your organisation.
  • If you found something broken, the reply comes from the person who will fix it.
  • Your email is used to answer you. It is not added to a mailing list and it is not passed to anyone.

Who needs a licence

Count the people in your organisation who use Limn. Up to 3, it is free. More than 3, the organisation needs a licence.

The full terms are in the Limn License, published with the source.

Or skip the form entirely.

Nothing on this page is a gate in front of the app. npx limn-review runs it against your own repositories using your existing gh login, stores no credentials, and sends nothing to us.

Bugs and feature requests are better as issues than as messages: they are public, they are searchable, and somebody else hitting the same thing can add to them.

Free. One command.

Limn runs only on your machine. It reads GitHub through your gh login and keeps its data in a file on your disk. There is no account and nothing to pay.

Nothing is sent to us. We run no server for the app, and it has no tracking. Your code and pull requests go only between your machine and GitHub — and to your AI provider, on your own account, when a review or fix runs.
